What ADHD coaching is not

ADHD coaching is not therapy or counselling.

Coaching is about looking at what isn’t working now and developing strategies to move forward, whereas therapy and counselling often look to the past.

We have a free chemistry call together. This is to get a rough idea of the kinds of things you’d like to work on and whether I can help. This is pretty standard practice. I want to make sure we’re a good fit to work together.

How ADHD coaching sessions work

1

Discuss and identify areas that you’re struggling with. Talk through what may be keeping you stuck, and then come up with a plan to move forward. For certain tools, I’ll provide worksheets to help you move forward.

2

Between sessions, you’ll implement the tailored solutions we developed. This is also a time to think about what is coming up for you and reflect on it to bring to the next session.

3

In the next session, we’ll review how it went and adjust the plan if it needs to be adjusted. When you feel ready, we’ll move on to the next area you’d like support with.

I have ADHD and understand the benefits and challenges that come with it. I know what it feels like to go through life, feeling like everyone else got a copy of the instructions, and you didn’t, or they were missing some vital parts.

My background is in person-centred design, management and guiding. I therefore have the ability to design tools that perfectly suit and support you. I have used these skills to develop tools and cheat-sheets to support the coachee.

It’s hard to navigate your way through all the ‘shoulds and should nots’ of this world, I’ll help you to get a clearer sense of the things that are important, so you’re able to steer your life in to the direction you want to go.
